Support. Educate. Empower.
OUR MISSION
To offer support and advocacy for policewomen in Canada while openly working with community stakeholders to promote a bias-free workplace.

I was fortunate enough to find an incredible support system of policewomen through NWLEA in the early stages of my struggles in law enforcement.
Before I met these women, I was depressed, alone and was suicidal.
My husband was actually the one to convince me to reach out to NWLEA.
I made contact via email and was amazed by the fast response and incredible support and understanding. I was introduced to others in similar situations and for the first time since I could remember, I had hope. We are all connected in a group chat that we interact together daily. Stories shared, support, laughs, tears and most importantly, understanding. These women are who keep me going. I know that no matter what happens in my career or life, they will be there.
I cannot say enough about the NWLEA. I wish it had been around when I first started policing. I encourage any women in law enforcement who need support to reach out. We are in this together!

This organization and its members have been a much-needed lifeline and support in all the issues I have faced alone until now. It’s been a struggle to understand and accept what’s been happening and defend myself against workplace harassment and discrimination. There is strength in numbers and the group of women that I have met through here are strong, intelligent and resourceful. I will get through this and I am not alone.
